Our Religion program helps lay a foundation for our children’s spiritual growth and knowledge of the Catholic faith. Through prayer, study, scripture, sacraments, liturgical experiences and service to others, the children will have opportunities to connect their faith to daily living. The parish, school and our parents ensure a long lasting and joyful connection to our Catholic faith and to God.
Our goal is for all students at Nativity of Our Lord School to grow in their understanding of:The strong connection between Nativity Parish and School is most evident in our shared celebrations of the Sacraments and other rituals of the Church. We come together to pray and worship as a community of faith on a regular basis. We enjoy celebrating Mass with our parishioners each week and at our monthly special all-school liturgies. We have established some beautiful traditions in our liturgies each year:
Preschool: Perpetual Adoration one day per month
Kindergarten: Thanksgiving Paraliturgy & Mother’s Day Paraliturgy
First Grade: Christmas Paraliturgy
Second Grade: Bread Paraliturgy (in anticipation of First Communion)
Third Grade: Grandparent’s Liturgy
Fourth & Fifth Grade: Special Grade Level Liturgies
Annual All School Liturgies & Prayer Services:
Our students also have the opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation during Advent and Lent each year.
